@Chap. 0282 An Act in addition to "an Act requiring Returns from Registers of Deeds."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :
Any register of deeds who shall omit or neglect to make the returns required by the act passed on the fifteenth day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, chapter two hundred and forty-one, entitled An Act requiring returns from Registers of Deeds, shall be subject to a penalty of fifty dollars, to be recovered in the manner now provided by law for the recovery of penalties, in the fourteenth section of the one hundred and thirty-third chapter of the Revised Statutes.
