Chap. 0486 An Act in addition to "An Act to appoint a Board of Commissioners in relation to Alien Passengers and State Paupers." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : Sect. 1. The agents appointed by said commissioners shall have such salary as may be fixed by the commissioners, not exceeding four dollars for each day employed, together with their necessary expenses for board and travel. Sect. 2. So much of the seventh section of the act passed May twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred fifty-one, as is inconsistent with the provisions of this act, is hereby repealed. Sect. 3. This act shall take effect from and after its passage. [Approved by the Governor, May 21, 1855.]
