1976 Chap. 0551. parcel of land now under the care, custody and control of the department of environmental management, located on the southerly side of auto route 9, in the town of Natick, needed by the deapartment of public works for permanent easement for drainage and sloping, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at point bearing south 13?-18'-47" west and 35.00 feet distant from Route baseline station 54 72.06; thence south 76?-41'-13" east 150.00 feet along the present state highway location line; thence south 13?-18'-47" west 30.00 feet; thence north 76?41'-13" west 151.80 feet; thence north 16?-44'-52" east 30.05 feet to the point of beginning. Containing approximately 4,527 square feet of land. The department of public works is hereby authorized to construct slopes of excavation or embankment appurtenant to said improvement outside of the such location. For the purposes of this act the department of public works is hereby authorized to divert to highway use the above described lands or portions thereof presently in public use as park lands, recreational areas or nature preserves.
