1996 Chapter 0493. An Act Relative To The Revision Of Terms Of Certain Mortgages. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately permit mortgage lenders to revise the terms of certain existing mortgages for the purpose of preventing foreclosures, therefore it is hereby declared an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
