1975 Chap. 0885. of said tax as remains unpaid after May first, nineteen hundred and seventy-six computed from April first of said year. Applications for abatement with respect to taxes assessed under the provision of section one shall be filed on or before October first, nineteen hundred and seventy-six. Appeals from the denial of abatements filed pursuant to this section shall be governed by the applicable provisions of chapter fifty-nine of the General Laws. Section 3. Beginning July first, nineteen hundred and seventy-six, and for each fiscal year thereafter, said district shall base its assessments on the valuations of the town of Shelburne for the preceding January first, provided further that for the fiscal year beginning July first, nineteen hundred and seventy-six, and for each fiscal year thereafter, said district shall assess its taxes in accordance with the provisions of chapter fifty-nine of the General Laws. Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved January 17, 1976. Chap. 0885.
