1972 Chap. 0008. An Act relative to the disqualification of Candidate For Election To Ward Or Town Committee. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith for the disqualification of candidate for election to ward or town committee who accepts nomination for such office more than once and who does not withdraw from all but one such nomination, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
