1974 Chap. 0841. 931 the second paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:? Notwithstanding the provisions of section seventeen the payment of the principal of, and interest on, all such notes or bonds or both shall be guaranteed by the commonwealth, and the full faith and credit of the commonwealth is hereby pledged for any such guarantee; provided, that the total amount of notes or bonds or both so guaranteed shall not exceed two hundred and seventy million dollars, in the aggregate, for all projects constructed under this section and section thirty-five, exclusive of any such notes or bonds or both which may be issued for refunding purposes. Section 2. The first paragraph of clause (b) of said section 34 of said chapter 121b, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:? Each contract for financial assistance or supplementary state financial assistance shall provide that the commonwealth shall pay to the housing authority annual contributions; provided, however, that the total amount of annual contributions contracted for by the commonwealth for any one year shall not exceed twenty-one million six hundred thousand dollars. Section 3. The third paragraph of said clause (6) of said section 34 of said chapter 121b, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:? Each contract for state financial assistance or for supplementary state financial assistance shall provide that the commonwealth shall pay to the housing authority annual contributions; provided, however, that the total amount of such additional contribution contracted for by the commonwealth for any one year shall not exceed six million six hundred thousand dollars. Section 4. Section 41 of said chapter 121b, as most recently amended by section 13 of said chapter 1215, is hereby further amended by striking out the second and third sentences and inserting in place thereof the following two sentences:? The amount of bonds and notes, or bonds or notes, guaranteed by the commonwealth under this section shall not exceed five hundred and sixty million dollars. Each contract for state financial assistance shall provide that the commonwealth shall pay to the housing authority annual contributions; provided, however, that the total amount of annual contributions contracted for by the commonwealth for any one year shall not exceed forty-four million eight hundred thousand dollars.
