1974 Chap. 0848. of the General Laws or of any special or general law to the contrary, no person shall convert an apartment building, garden apartment building or other multi-family dwelling containing three or more units in the city of Newton, for which special permit has been granted for such use by the board of aldermen of said city to condominium subject to the provisions of chapter one hundred and eighty-three of the General Laws, without having obtained an additional special permit from said board of aldermen authorizing such conversion. Said permit shall be granted only upon finding by said board that the public convenience is served by such conversion and may contain such conditions and limitations to protect the rights of tenants as said board deems reasonably necessary. Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its acceptance by the city of Newton in the current year, but not otherwise. Approved ugust 14,19 74. Chap. 0848.
