Chap. 0074 An Act to incorporate the tremont market company. Be it enacted, &c., as follows: Section 1. Ezra D. Winslow, Franklin Haskins, William C. Greene, their associates and successors, are made a corporation by the name of the Tremont Market Company, for the purpose of purchasing and maintaining a building situated on Tremont Street in Boston, to be used for a market, and with authority to let any portion of such building not so used, for any lawful purpose. Section 2. The capital stock of said corporation shall not exceed three hundred thousand dollars, and shall be divided into shares of the par value of one hundred dollars. Section 3. Said corporation may hold such real estate as may be necessary for the transaction of its business, not exceeding in value the amount of capital actually paid in in cash : provided, however, that no liability shall be incurred until the sum of one hundred thousand dollars of its capital stock has been so paid in. Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved March 12, 1873.
