Chap. 0294 An Act to incorporate the white's ferry bridge corporation, Be it enacted, &c, as follows: Section 1. William H. Eaton, Horace P. Flint, George O. Brastow, their associates and successors are made a corporation by the name of the White's Ferry Bridge Corporation ; with the powers an/1 privileges, and subject to the duties, restrictions and liabilities set forth in the general laws which now are, or hereafter may be in force relating to such corporations. Section 2. Said corporation may construct a pile bridge across the waters of North River, between Marsh-field and Scituate, at or near the place now known as White's Ferry, aud the capital stock of said corporation shall not exceed twenty-five thousand dollars, divided into shares of one hundred dollars each, with the right to purchase and hold such real and personal estate as may be necessary and convenient for the purposes of this act, not exceeding that sum. Said bridge shall be well built of suitable materials, at least twenty feet wide and floored with planks, with sufficient railings on each side and shall have a suitable draw in the same for the passage of vessels, all of which shall be kept in good repair at all times : provided, that the structures built under this act shall be subject to the determination and approval of the harbor commissioners, as provided in the fourth section of chapter one hundred and forty-nine of the acts of the year eighteen hundred and sixty-six. Section 3. If said corporation neglects for the space of five years from the passage of this act, to build and finish said bridge, then this act shall be void. Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved June 2, 1874.
