Chap. 0344 An Act to protect the use of alphabetical lists of voters. Be it enacted, &c, as follows: Section 1. Whoever, in an assembly of people, met for a lawful purpose, at which an alphabetical list of voters is used in voting, votes or attempts to vote under any name other than his own, shall be punished b}' a fine not exceeding fifty dollars, or by imprisonment in the jail not exceeding thirty days, on complaint in any court of competent jurisdiction. Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved June 18, 1874.
