Chap. 0093 An act to alter one of the terms of the court of common pleas, and general sessions of the peace in the county of dukes county. Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, That the Court of General Sessions of the Peace, and Court of Common Pleas, now by law7 appointed to be holden annually at Edgartown, within and for the County of Dukes County, on the third tuesday of April, shall, in future, be annually holden at the same place, on the third tuesday of May, any law to the contrary notwithstanding. Section 2. And be it further enacted, That all actions, suits, writs, processes, precepts, appeals, recognizances, and all matters whatsoever, already commenced, sued out, or pending in said Courts, or that hereafter may be commenced, sued out, or returnable to either of the Courts aforesaid on the third tuesday of April; and all Actions, suits, processes, recognizances, and prosecutions of every kind, now pending, or that may be pending, before either of the Courts aforesaid, which before the passing of this Act, were to have been holden on the said third tuesday of April, shall be returnable to, entered, made, proceeded upon, prosecuted, and determined, agreeably to the true intent of such Actions, writs, suits, processes, appeals, recognizances, and prosecutions, before the said Court, to be holden by virtue of this Act, at said Edgar-town, on the said third tuesday of May.
