Chap. 0178 An Act to incorporate the Eagle Manufacturing Company, in the town of Wrentham. Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, That Jonathan Adams, Josi-ah J. Fiske, Henry Fiske, Adams Foster, Nathaniel Thayer, and Davis Thayer, together with such others as may hereafter associate with them, their successors or assigns, be, and they are made a corporation, by the name of the Eagle Manufacturing Company, for the' purpose of manufacturing cotton yarn and cloth, in the town of Wrentham, in the county of Norfolk ; and for this purpose shall have all the powers and privileges, and shall be subject to all the duties and requirements, prescribed and contained in an act, passed the third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine, entitled " An act defining the general powers and duties of Manufacturing Corporations and also an act in addition to said act, passed at the present session of this General Court. Sec 2. Be it further enacted, That the said Eagle Company, in their corporate capacity, may lawfully hold and possess such real and personal estate as may be necessary and convenient for carrying on the said manufacture ; provided, the value of such real estate shall not exceed fifty thousand dollars, and the value of such personal estate shall not exceed one hundred thousand dollars.
