Chap. 0070 An Act authorizing Jeremiah Banning to construct a Wharf in the Harbour of Edgartown in Dukes County. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, That Jeremiah Banning, be, and he is hereby authorized and allowed to build a Wharf in the Harbor of Edgartown in Dukes County, below low water mark, adjoining his land, into the channel of said Harbor, until said Wharf shall be extended to where there may be a depth of water equal to that at the other wharves now erected in said harbor, and that he be allowed the exclusive use of the water, one hundred and ten feet wide, into the channel, for the use, occupation, and accommodation of said Wharf: Provided, that this grant shall in no wise interfere with the legal rights of any other person or persons whatever.
