Chap. 0467 An Act relative to the expenditures of funds for the welfare of certain prisoners upon their release. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Chapter 127 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 162, as appearing in the Tercentenary Edition, and inserting in place thereof the following: - Section 162. The warden of the state prison and the superintendent of the Massachusetts reformatory, the reformatory for women, the state prison colony and the state farm may expend such sums, not in excess of twenty dollars for any prisoner, as may be appropriated for the welfare of prisoners who are released therefrom.
