Chap. 0307. AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT FOR SASSAQUIN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF NEW BEDFORD. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the city of New Bedford may establish a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the way known as Sassaquin avenue in that city. This bill was returned by the Governor to the House of Representatives, the branch in which it originated, with his objections thereto, was passed by the House on May 25, 2004, and in concurrence by the Senate on July 30, 2004, the objections of the Governor notwithstanding, in the manner prescribed by the Constitution, and therefore has the force of law.
