Chap. 316. An Act authorizing the city of Worcester to convey
CERTAIN PARK LAND TO WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
The city of Worcester may convey to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an educational corporation organized in the commonwealth, certain land on Massachusetts avenue in said city, held by it for park purposes, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northeasterly line of Massachusetts Avenue and two (2) feet northeasterly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H., said point being one hundred twenty-nine and twenty-seven hundredths (129.27) feet northwesterly of the northwesterly line of Park Avenue;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is one hundred seventy and eighty-three hundredths (170.83) feet, by the northeasterly line of Massachusetts Avenue,. ninety-one and fifty-three hundredths (91.53) feet to a point two (2) feet northerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, north 71° 48' west, by the northerly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred forty-eight and four tenths (148.4) feet to a point two (2) feet northerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;

Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is one hundred eighty-eight and six hundredths (188.06) feet by the northerly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred eighty-six and eighty-seven hundredths (186.87) feet to a point two (2) feet northwesterly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence by a curve to the right, the radius of which is one hundred twenty-four and seventy-seven hundredths (124.77) feet by the northerly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred twenty-nine and twenty-one hundredths (129.21) feet to a point two (2) feet northerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, north 69° 24' west, by the northerly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred two and twenty-three hundredths (102.23) feet to a point two (2) feet northerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence by a curve to the right, the radius of which is forty-seven and twenty-five hundredths (47.25) feet, by the easterly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred twenty-three and four hundredths (123.04) feet to a point two (2) feet southerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H. ;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, north 79° 48' east, by the southerly line of Massachusetts Avenue, thirty-six and fifty-three hundredths (36.53) feet to a point two (2) feet southerly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is two hundred three and fifty-one hundredths (203.51) feet, by the southeasterly line of Massachusetts Avenue, one hundred four and seven hundredths (104.07) feet to a point two (2) feet southeasterly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, north 50° 30' east, by the southeasterly line of Massachusetts Avenue, nine hundred ninety-two and sixty-one hundredths (992.61) feet to a point two (2) feet southeasterly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H.;
Thence deflecting 90° to the right, south 39° 30' east, by the southwesterly line of Massachusetts Avenue, fifty (50.0) feet to a point two (2) feet southeasterly of the drill hole in a stone monument marked W. H. ;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is eight hundred one and eight tenths (801.8) feet, by the southwesterly line of Drury Lane, three hundred six and seventy-eight hundredths (306.78) feet to a point;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, north 39° 39' west, by land of the grantor, twenty-three and sixty-four hundredths (23.64) feet to a drill hole in a stone bound;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is thirty-six (36) feet, by land of the grantor sixty-two and eighteen hundredths (62.18) feet to a drill hole in a stone bound;
Thence on a line tangent to said curve, south 41° 23' west, by land of grantor, one hundred thirty-five and eighty-eight hundredths (135.88) feet to the drill hole in a stone bound;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is three hundred fifteen and seventy-six hundredths (315.76) feet, by land of grantor, one hundred one and seventy-two hundredths (101.72) feet to a point;
Thence by a curve to the right, the radius of which is three hundred fifteen and seventy-six hundredths (315.76) feet, by land of grantor, one hundred forty-three and nineteen hundredths (143.19) feet to a point;

Thence on a line tangent to said curve, south 48° 54' west, parallel to and one hundred eighty (180) feet distant from the northwesterly line of Park Avenue and by land of grantor, two hundred forty-nine and twenty-seven hundredths (249.27) feet to the drill hole in a stone bound;
Thence by a curve to the left, the radius of which is fifty and seventy-three hundredths (50.73) feet by land of grantor, seventy-nine and sixty-nine hundredths (79.69) feet to the point of beginning; containing 356,980 square feet of land, more or less. Approved April 24, 1968.
Chap. 317- An Act providing that any prior service in the city
OF LYNN SHALL BE INCLUDED IN COMPUTING VACATIONS OF MEMBERS OF THE REGULAR POLICE OR FIRE FORCE OF SAID CITY.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Section 1. For the purpose of computing the vacation of members of the regular police or fire force of the city of Lynn, pursuant to section one hundred and eleven D of chapter forty-one of the General Laws, any prior service rendered by such members in any other positions in said city shall be included in determining the number of years' service of such members.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its acceptance by the city of Lynn. Approved April 24, 1963.
Chap. 318. An Act relative to the limitation on the term of
PERSONAL LOANS BY CREDIT UNIONS AND AUTHORIZING CREDIT UNIONS TO MAKE LOANS GUARANTEED BY THE MASSACHUSETTS HIGHER EDUCATION ASSISTANCE CORPORATION TO CERTAIN NON-MEMBERS.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Section 1. The first paragraph of section 24 of chapter 171 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after clause (b), as amended by chapter 57 of the acts of 1960, the following clause:
(c) Loans guaranteed by the Massachusetts Higher Education Assistance Corporation, except that such loans may also be made to persons other than members.
Section 2. Subdivision (A) of said section 24 of said chapter 171, is hereby amended by striking out the first paragraph, as amended by section 1 of chapter 158 of the acts of 1959, and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph: Each personal loan shall be payable within thirty months from the date of the note except that if such loan is secured by satisfactory collateral it may be payable within thirty-six months from the date of the note. All such loans shall be paid or renewed on or before the due date.
Section 3. Said section 24 of said chapter 171 is hereby further amended by adding after subdivision (B) the following subdivision:
(C) LOANS GUARANTEED BY THE MASSACHUSETTS HIGHER EDUCATION ASSISTANCE CORPORATION.
