Chap. 328. An Act authorizing fraternal, benefit societies to INVEST IN SHARES OR DEPOSITS OF CERTAIN CREDIT UNIONS. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. The first sentence of section 40 of chapter 176 of the General Laws, as appearing in chapter 238 of the acts of 1960, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "commonwealth", in line 5, the words: — , in shares or deposits in credit unions insured by the Massachusetts Credit Union Share Insurance Corporation. Section 2. Chapter 540 of the acts of 1958 is hereby amended by inserting after section 2A, added by chapter 155 of the acts of 1961, the following section: ¦— Section 2B. Any fraternal benefit society transacting business under authority of sections forty-five to forty-six D, inclusive, of chapter one hundred and seventy-six of the General Laws, as in effect immediately preceding the effective date of this act, may invest its funds in shares or deposits in credit unions insured by the Massachusetts Credit Union Share Insurance Corporation.
