Chap. 657. An Act authorizing the town of winchendon to ERECT A TOWN GARAGE TO BE USED BY ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS ON LAND OWNED BY THE TOWN AND BEING PART OF A PUBLIC DOMAIN. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections nineteen and twenty-two of chapter forty-five of the General Laws, the town of 538 Acts, 1968.—Chap, 658. Winchendon is hereby authorized to erect a town garage to be used by its department of public works on the following described parcel of land .owned by the town, .which land was set aside by vote of the town on March 7, 1925, for forest production. A certain tract of land on the southerly side of Glenallen street in Winchendon, being a portion of the "Tolman Land" so-called, and part of the land under control of the conservation committee of the town, bounded and.described as follows: From a plan of the layout of Glenallen street ,as altered and laid out by the county commissioners July 7, 1966, and on file at the county courthouse as Sheet #2 of Decree #1610 — Plan II-3973-R. ; , Beginning at an angle point'of the Mary Bosworth land and Glenallen street, thence, easterly on the sideline of Glenallen street on'an eight hundred (800) foot radius about three hundred fifty-four (354) feet to the point of tangency of the curve. ¦ Thence North 88° 22' 20" East about three hundred sixty-seven (367) feet along the southerly line of Glenallen street to an angle point. Thence South 1° 37' 40" E. a'distance of three hundred (300) feet to an angle poiiit. ¦¦ i '¦•¦'¦'.-.' ¦¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ Thence South 88° 22'20".W. a distance of seven hundred ninety (790) feet to land of Mary Bosworth and angle point. Thence North 26° 22,' 20", a distance of two hundred twenty^hree (223) feet along the land of Mary Bosworth to a stone bound at an angle point in'the land of Mary Bosworth. • Thence North 46° West about twenty-seven feet along land of Mary Bosworth to the sideline, of Glenallen street and the place of beginning. • This tract contains about four and fifty-seven hundredths (4.57) acres. Section 2.. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved July 18, 1968. Chap. G58. An Act authorizing cities and towns to refinance LOANS FOR PUBLIC WELFARE AND VETERANS' BENEFITS. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith for the extension of time allowed for municipal repayment ¦ of indebtedness incurred for the purpose of meeting 1967 expenditures for public welfare and veterans' benefits, therefore it. is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience. .Be it enacted, etc., as follows: ' Section 1. Any city or town which incurred debt during the year nineteen hundred and sixty-seven in accordance with chapter twenty-seven of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-six, or clause (9) of section eight of chapter forty-four of the General Laws, for public welfare or for veterans' benefits 'may borrow in each of the years nineteen hundred and sixty-eight and nineteen hundred and sixty-nine a sum sufficient to pay all or any portion of the principal coming due thereon in such year, and may issue bonds or notes therefor, which shall bear on their face the words (name of city or town) "Municipal Relief Funding Loan, Act of 1968".
