Chap. 690. .An Act providing tenure of-office for howard f. ¦". . -\. BILZ, TOWN ACCOUNTANT OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH HADLEY. 'Be it enacted, etc., as follows:" Section 1. Notwithstanding any,, contrary, provision of law, the tenure of office of Howard F. Bilz, incumbent of .the office of town accountant of the town of South Hadley, shall, upon the effective date •of this act, be unlimited, but he may be removed therefrom for cause .after a hearing by the board of selectmen, which shall be a public hearing unless said Bilz and said board shall- agree otherwise. Said Bilz, if .aggrieved by the. action of said -board, may appeal therefrom to a review board consisting of the chairman of the school- committee, the chairman of the planning board, the chairman of the board of health, ¦the chairman of the appropriations-committee and the chairman of the 'parks and playground commissioners. Said Bilz, if aggrieved by the action- of the review board, may appeal therefrom to the district court within the judicial district in which he resides, in the manner provided -by'section forty-five of chapter thirty-one'of the General Laws.
