Chap. 24. An Act atjthohizing the civil service commission to SUMMON WITNESSES AT THE REQUEST OF INTERESTED PARTIES TO PROCEEDINGS BEFORE SAID COMMISSION. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 32 of chapter 31 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 17 of chapter 780 of the acts of 1967, is hereby further amended by adding the following sentence: — Subpoenas may be issued at the instance of a complainant, respondent or any other party to any proceeding before the commission under such rules as the commission may establish, in which case the cost of service and the fees of the witnesses shall be borne by the party at whose instance the witness is summoned, and such fees shall be paid to the witnesses as provided in the case of witnesses before the superior court.
