Chap. 254.   An Act making certain corrective changes in the
LAWS  RELATIVE  TO   EDUCATION.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Section 1. Section IF of chapter 15 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the fourth sentence the following sentence: — In the absence or disability of the commissioner, the deputy commissioner shall act as commissioner and shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the commissioner.
Section 2. Section 9 of said chapter 15, as most recently amended by section 2 of chapter 429 of the acts of 1960, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 1, the word "division" and inserting in place thereof the word: — bureau.
Section 3. Section five of chapter sixty-nine of the General Laws is hereby repealed.
Section 4. The second sentence of section 29D of said chapter 69, as appearing in chapter 556 of the acts of 1958, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2, the word "division" and inserting in place thereof the word: — bureau.
Section 5. Section 4A of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as amended by section 16 of chapter 572 of the acts of 1965, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 5, the word "one" and inserting in place thereof the word: — nine.
Section 6. Sections twelve and sixty of said chapter seventy-one are hereby repealed.                                         Approved May 6, 1969.
