Chap. 299. An Act relative to the granting of licenses for the SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BY CERTAIN RESTAURANTS IN THE TOWN OF LEXINGTON. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: The state secretary shall cause to be placed on the official ballot used in the town of Lexington at each biennial state election the following subdivision to the question which he is required under the provisions of section eleven of chapter one hundred and thirty-eight of the General Laws to place on the official ballot in all cities and towns and, under the provisions of chapter six hundred and seventy-nine of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-eight, in the town of Lexington at such elections, to wit: — F. Shall licenses be granted in the town of Lexington for YEg ,— the sale therein of all alcoholic beverages by restaurants having a dining room capacity of not less than ninety-nine persons? If a majority of the votes cast in said town in answer to subdivision F is in the affirmative, said town shall, irrespective of the results of the votes in answer to subdivisions A, B, C, D and E be taken to authorize for the two calendar years next succeeding, the sale in said town of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises of restaurants having a dining room capacity of not less than ninety-nine persons, in accordance with the provisions of said chapter one hundred and thirty-eight.
