Chap. 592. An Act increasing the amount of a certain benefit which may be paid by the waltham police relief association incorporated'to certain members prior to their retirement.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Chapter 314 of the acts of 1959 is hereby amended by striking out section 1, as amended by chapter 594 of the acts of 1961, and inserting in place thereof the following section: —
Section 1. The Waltham Police Relief Association Incorporated, a corporation duly organized under the laws of the commonwealth, is hereby authorized, upon the retirement of any member in good standing from the police department of the city of Waltham, to pay such member such sum, not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars, as may be determined by vote of the board of directors of said corporation. Said association is hereby further authorized to pay to a member upon the death of his wife such sum, not exceeding five hundred dollars, as may be determined by said board.
