Chap. 891.   An Act authorizing the mayor of the city of waltham
TO APPOINT JOSEPH R. MAHER AS SUPERVISOR OF REGISTRATION AND EQUIPMENT OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT  OF  SAID   CITY.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section eight of chapter thirty-nine of the General Laws or of any other provision of law to the contrary except the provisions of chapter thirty-one of the General Laws, the mayor of the city of Waltham may appoint Joseph R. Maher as supervisor of registration and equipment of the parks and recreation department of said city; provided, however, that said Joseph R. Maher resigns as a member of the city council of said city prior to said appointment.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its acceptance by the city of Waltham.                                         Approved August 29, 1969.
