Chap. 411. An Act extending the time during which certain PERSONS SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES MAY APPLY FOR REGISTRATION AS A LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT WITHOUT EXAMINATION. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately permit the registration of certain members of the armed forces as landscape architects, without examination, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 3 of chapter 473 of the acts of 1968 is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:—In the case of a person serving in the armed forces of the United States on the effective date of this act, such one year period shall not commence until his separation or discharge from such service. .
