Chapter 216. AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE WILLIAMSTOWN LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Notwithstanding the provisions of section ten of chapter seventy-eight of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Williamstown shall establish a board of library trustees to consist of five members. Said board of library trustees shall initially consist of the trustees holding office on the effective date of this act. The incumbent trustees shall remain in office until their terms expire. Subsequent trustees shall be elected as follows: three members shall be elected at the town's annual election in nineteen hundred and ninety-five, two of whom shall be elected for three year terms and one of whom shall be elected for a one year term; two members shall be elected for three year terms at the town's annual election in nineteen hundred and ninety-six; and one member shall be elected for a three year term at the town's annual election in nineteen hundred and ninety-seven. Elections of all subsequent trustees shall be for three year terms. Approved December 19, 1994.
