Chap. 151. An Act providing that eye enucleation may be PERFORMED BY TRAINED TECHNICIANS. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Subsection (d) of section 10 of chapter 113 of the General Laws, as appearing in chapter 653 of the acts of 1971, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: — Notwithstanding subsection (b) of section thirteen, the donor may designate in his will, card or other document of gift the surgeon or physician to carry out the appropriate procedures; provided, however, that eye enucleations may be performed also by a technician who has successfully completed a course of training acceptable to the Eye Bank of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
