Chapter 349. ANACTAUTHORI21NGTHECITYKNOWNASTHETOWN OF METHUEN TO TRANSFER CONTROL OF CERTAIN RECREATIONAL LAND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF SAID TOWN. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: SECTION 1. The city known as the town of Methuen, acting by and through its town manager, with approval of its town council, is hereby authorized to transfer the care, custody and control of a certain parcel of land presently used as a recreational area to the Methuen department of public works to use as a park and ride facility. Said parcel is more particularly described as: Beginning at a point on the northerly side of Pelham Street at a point where Lot 1 touches Lot 2 on said plan; thence travelling westerly on said Pelham Street, N 69°36'00" W, a distance of 154 feet to a point; thence travelling north-northwest, N 04°12'00" W, 293.15 feet to a point; thence travelling northeasterly, N 58°38'00", a distance of 315.74 feet to a point; thence travelling southeasterly, S 04°39'45" E, a distance of 282 feet to a point; thence travelling southwesterly, S 28°55'19" W, a distance of 262 feet to the point of origin. Said parcel consists of 2.32 acres, plus or minus, and is shown as Lot 1 on a "Plan of Land in Methuen, MA, Prepared for the Town of Methuen", dated June 1,1990, by Thomas F. Doucette, registered land surveyor which is on file with said department. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved December 21, 1990.
