Chap. 0124 An Act authorizing the county commissioners of the county of middlesex to have plans and specifications prepared for, and to investigate suitable sites for, the proposed court house in the city of somerville. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. For the purpose of providing adequate court house accommodations and facilities for the district court of Somerville, by the erection of a court house in the city of Somerville, the county commissioners of the county of Middlesex are hereby authorized and directed to cause plans and specifications to be prepared for said court house, and to investigate suitable sites therefor, and, if possible, without liability on the part of said county, to secure options for the purchase thereof by the county. For the purposes aforesaid, said commissioners may expend such sums, not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars, as may be included in the county appropriation act of the current year. Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved February 25, 1950.
