Chap. 0786 An Act allowing certain persons in the employ of the department of conservation to take qualifying examinations.

Be it enacted, etc., as folloxos:

The division of civil service is hereby authorized to allow the incumbents of the positions of boat captain, boatswain-engineer, and boatswain in the department of conservation, who were serving therein on July first, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, to take qualifying examinations for said positions. Upon passing such qualifying examinations said incumbents shall be deemed to be permanently employed in such positions, subject to the civil service laws.
