Chap. 0669 An Act authorizing the city of boston to pay an annuity to the widow of robert a. mayer, a former court officer of the municipal court of the city of boston.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

Section 1. For the purpose of promoting the public good, the city of Boston may pay to Ann C. Mayer, widow of Robert A. Mayer, a former court officer of the municipal court of the city of Boston, who died as a result of injuries received in the performance of his duty after having faithfully served said city and the county of Suffolk for more than twenty-four years, an annuity of thirteen hundred and fifty dollars, payable in monthly instalments, the same to continue as long as she remains unmarried.

Section 2. This act shall take full effect upon its acceptance during the current year by vote of the city council of the city of Boston, subject to the provisions of its charter, but not otherwise. Approved July 23, 1945.
