Chap. 0300 An Act relative to certain lines, poles and other equipment of the fitchburg gas and electric light company, the new england telephone and telegraph company and the american telephone and telegraph company in the city of fitchburg. Be it enacted, etc., as follows: Section 1. All lines for the transmission of electricity for light, heat or power heretofore acquired or constructed by the Fitchburg Gas and Electric Light Company in the city of Fitchburg, and all lines for the transmission of intelligence by electricity heretofore acquired or constructed by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and the American Telephone and Telegraph Company in said city, upon, along, under or over the public ways and places of said city, and the poles, piers, abutments, conduits and other fixtures necessary to sustain or protect the wires of said lines and actually in place on the effective date of this act, are hereby made lawful notwithstanding the lack of any valid locations therefor or any informality in the proceedings relative to their location and erection; provided, that the validation aforesaid shall not be effective as to the lines, structures or fixtures aforesaid of said companies in said city unless said companies shall, not later than December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and forty-four, file with the clerk of said city a map or maps showing the location and nature of said lines, structures, and fixtures in said city, such map or maps so filed to be recorded and kept with the records of original locations for poles and wires in said city. Section 2. This act shall take full effect upon its acceptance by vote of the city council of said city, subject to the provisions of its charter, but not otherwise. Approved May 19, 191+8.
