Chap.  387.         AN     ACT     AUTHORIZING     THE     METROPOLITAN

DISTRICT COMMISSION TO TRANSFER THE CARE, CUSTODY AND CONTROL OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF NORTH-BOROUGH TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.

Be it enacted,   etc.,   as follows:

The metropolitan district commission is hereby authorized and directed to transfer the care, custody and control of two certain parcels of land in the town of Northborough to the department of public works in compliance with the provisions of section forty H of chapter seven of the General Laws, and also in accordance with the provisions of section one of chapter six hundred and ninety-three of the acts of nineteen hundred and fifty-five. Said department of public works is hereby authorized and directed to lay out as a state highway the said parcels of land in conjunction with the reconstruction of the bridge carrying Whitney street over the tracks of the Consolidated Rail Corporation designated as bridge No.  N-20-G.

Said   public   lands   to  be  so transferred  consist of two  irregularly shaped parcels of land shown on a preliminary  right of way plan   in   the   town   of   Northborough   prepared   by  C.   E.   Maguire, Inc., which parcels are more particularly described as follows: PARCEL No. 5-1         Area = 1560 S.F.+

Begins at a Worcester County Highway Bound on the northerly location of the existing County Layout of 1954 for Whitney Street, said point bearing North 05°-30'-50" West and being 34.72 feet distant from Station 30+17.30 and extends thence North 58°-43'-10" East 102.63 feet to a point bearing North 28°-06'-14" East and being 58.62 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends thence North 05°-32'-30" East 25.17 feet to a point bearing North 21°-22'-33" East and being 82.43 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends thence North 58°-43'-10" East approximately 19 feet to a point on the westerly property line of the Consolidated Rail Corp. and extends thence southerly along said property line approximately 37 feet to a point on the northerly street line of Whitney Street and extends thence westerly along said street line approximately 120 feet to a Massachusetts District Commission Bound bearing South 77°-25'-55" West and being 60.56 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends thence northerly approximately 12 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel No.  5-2            Area = 3150 S.F.±

Begins at a Massachusetts District Commission Bound on the southerly street line of Whitney Street, said point bearing South 50°-01'-10" West and being 90.01 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends thence easterly along said street line approximately 127 feet to a Massachusetts District Commission Bound on the westerly property line of the Consolidated Rail Corp., said bound bearing South 30°-33'-50" East and being 12.30 feet distant from Station 29+12.22 and extends thence southerly along said property line approximately 60 feet to a point and extends thence South 58°-43'-10" West approximately 20 feet to a point bearing South 14°-30'-17" East and being 62.67 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends thence North 31°-16'-50" West 30.00 feet to a point bearing South 00°-11'-38" East and being 35.03 feet distant from Station 29+50.00 and extends South 57°-35'-11" West 84.16 feet to a Worcester County Highway Bound bearing South 05°-13'-58" West and being 36.89 feet distant from Station 30+30.31 and extends thence northerly approximately 22 feet to the point of beginning.
