Chap. 0147 An Act to preserve the purity of the water supply of the city of springfield. Be it enacted, &c, as follows: Section 1. No person shall take any fish from any reservoir or canal held or owned by the city of Springfield for the purpose of supplying the inhabitants of said city with water, without the permission of the board of water commissioners of said city. Section 2. No person shall put or place any boat in or upon the waters of any of the reservoirs or canals aforesaid, without the permission of said board of water commissioners. Section 3. Whoever violates any provisions of this "act shall be punished by a fine of not less than two nor more than fifty dollars, to be recovered on complaint before any court of competent jurisdiction. Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Approved March 25, 1879.
