Warren 53 --Caption title. Width of road: 30 ft. Traveled way: width 25 ft., grade 1 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 6 in., uneven, soft with loose sand and gravel 3 1/2 in. deep material: sand and gravel sides: right, grass with bushes, slopes up from gutter, left, level for 5 ft., then slopes up gutters: right, 7 in. deep, left, 6 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: A fine gravel bank is just at side of road. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
