Orange 176 --Caption title. Width of road: 36 ft. Traveled way: width 36 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 8 in., hard, a trifle dusty with a few loose stones material: gravel like sample 176 sides: right, slopes up from gutter, left, slopes up from gutter gutters: right, 9 in. deep, left, 8 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is through a cut and is good, but needs re-surfacing. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
