Buckland 154 --Caption title. Width of road: 21 ft. Traveled way: width 21 ft., grade 2 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, fairly hard, dusty material: gravel, worn out on top so it is dusty sides: right, slopes up from gutter, left, slopes up 6 in., then down natural slope gutters: right, 6 in. deep, left, none sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: A very fair road, but needs convexity, so water can drain off. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
