Middlefield 106 --Caption title. Width of road: 9 ft. Traveled way: width 9 ft., grade 20 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, hard, with a few loose stones, slopes to left 2 in. in 9 ft. material: gravel like sample 106 sides: right, slopes up natural slope, left, slopes down natural slope gutters: right, none, left, natural slope down sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Gravel which is taken from beside the road between 105 and 106, after a rain forms an impervious surface to water. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
