Cheshire 125 --Caption title. Width of road: 23 ft. Traveled way: width 18 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, fairly hard, very little loose material on surface material: sand on gravel base sides: right, grass embankment slopes up 4 in., then down, left, grass embankment slopes up 4 in., then down gutters: right, none that road can drain into, left, none that road can drain into sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Banks on either side of road prevent water from running down natural slopes to marsh. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
