Westminster 196 --Caption title. Width of road: 37 ft. Traveled way: width 27 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 4 in., fairly hard, rough, with stones protruding, dusty material: gravel on rubble stone base sides: right, slopes up from gutter to sidewalk, left, car track, then a slope down gutters: right, 6 in. deep, left, natural slope down sidewalks: right, 4 ft. wide, 8 in. above gutter, left, none. Remarks: Road is rather rough, and needs re-surfacing. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
