Wilbraham 72 --Caption title. Width of road: 40 ft. Traveled way: width 33 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 7 in., uneven, soft, loose sand and loose stones, ruts 4 in. deep material: sand and coarse gravel sides: right, grass embankment slopes down to gutter then up, left, grass embankment slopes up from gutter then down gutters: right, 11 in. deep, left, 7 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is very poor, and is half grown over with grass. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
