Middlefield 109 --Caption title. Width of road: 30 ft. Traveled way: width 12 ft., grade 5 ft. per 100. Surface: flat, medium hard material: gravel and loam sides: right, slopes down into gutter then up, left, slopes down into gutter then up gutters: right, 2 ft. deep, left, 18 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is very good for country is very hilly. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
