Surface: flat, uneven, fairly hard, sand with ruts 2 in. deep material: sand on clay foundation sides: right, grass embankment slopes up 11 in. then down, left, grass embankment slopes down gutters: right, none, left, 3 ft. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: A fair road. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
