Surface: crowned 1 ft., soft with a slippery skimming of clay on top material: gravel and clay sides: right, slopes down to gutter then up, left, slopes down to gutter then up gutters: right, 1 ft. 10 in. deep, left, 2 ft. 2 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: A bad road, for a horse cannot get foothold. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
