Surface: crowned 8 in., soft, loose sand and gravel 8 in. deep material: sand and gravel sides: right, slopes down into gutter, then up, left, slopes down into gutter, then up gutters: right, 14 in. deep, left, 2 ft. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: A very sandy road. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
