Width of road: 37 ft. Travelled way: width 27 ft., grade 0 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 4 in., hard and very smooth material: broken stone, macadam sides: right, curbstone 6 in. high, left, bank slopes up to sidewalk 9 in. gutters: right, 5 in. deep, left, 8 in. deep sidewalks: right, 5 ft. wide, 6 in. above gutter, left, 5 ft. wide, 9 in. above gutter. Remarks: An excellent smooth and hard macadam road. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
