Natick 14 --Caption title. Width of road: 44 ft. Traveled way: width 35 ft., grade 3 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 2 ft., very uneven, loose gravel with ruts 8 in. deep material: gravel, which wears down hard sides: right, slopes down embankment, left, slopes down embankment gutters: right, at foot of 9 ft. embankment, left, at foot of 4 ft. embankment sidewalks: right, none, left, none except in front of house at left. Remarks: above description of road the same for nearly a mile except in front of house on left. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
