Width of road: 30 ft. Travelled way: width 25 ft., grade 1 ft. per 100. Surface: crowned 1 ft. hard and smooth, macadam, through a cut material: broken stone sides: right, slopes down to gutter then up, left, slopes down to gutter then up gutters: right, 1 ft. deep, left, 1 ft. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road has a drain in centre, composed of large stones and slabs. Road is over spring soil, but is hard. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
