Surface: flat, soft, uneven, loose sand, ruts 9 in. deep material: sand, soft sides: right, rises vertically 9 in. then slopes down, left, slopes up 6 in. then slopes down gutters: right, none that the road can drain into, left, none that the road can drain into sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: Road is very poor indeed. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
